How we can help

Many people have contacted us, asking if there is a way that they can help those affected by the earthquakes in Italy, as well as the devastating fires in Portugal. Fr. Massimo Bellillo, SCJ, the provincial superior of the South Italian Province, said that what is needed most is financial assistance so that people can rebuild their homes and businesses. The North Italian Province is directing donations to the local Caritas office. You can also make a donation through the US Province at www.poshusa.org.

“What if?”

“What happens after this life?” That’s what Fr. Nick Brown asked himself when he was at the top of an electrical pole in Sundance, Wyoming. It was a beautiful spot; from his perch Fr. Nick could see the Devil’s Tower natural monument. But instead of enjoying the gorgeous view, he started to ask himself “What if…?” And that question led him on a vocation journey straight to the Priests of the Sacred Heart.

St. Joseph’s Indian School honors SCJ chaplain

Last week during staff orientation at St. Joseph’s Indian School in South Dakota, the staff presented Fr. Anthony Kluckman, SCJ, a star quilt to commemorate his 50 years of religious life. Fr. Anthony is chaplain at the school. Allyssa Hoffer of St. Joseph’s did an interview with Fr. Anthony in which he reflected on his vocation, religious life, and St. Joe’s.


The choice to be a “son of Dehon”

Frater Justin Krenke, SCJ, renewed his vows this morning (August 12). “God calls all of us to go out in any way we can to be a part of the world, not a part from the world,” said Fra. Justin in his reflection prior to his vow renewal. “This is the message of Fr. Dehon.. So today, before all of you, before Fr. John [Czyzynski], before my brothers in community, I very joyfully renew my vows and continue the message of Christ and of our dear founder, Fr. Dehon.”


WYD renews SCJ seminarian’s commitment to vocation
