During the month of September Fr. José Ornelas Carvalho, superior general, and Fr. John van den Hengel, vicar, toured SCJ communities and ministries in Canada and the United States as a part of the general visitation of North America. They began in Montréal and continued through Canada and on to South Dakota, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, the formation community in Chicago and SCJs in Milwaukee. September 24-27 the SCJs of North America come to them as they gather together in the Milwaukee area for the North American Continental Conference, the concluding moment of the visitation.
