The first week of Advent

Welcoming those with disabilities

Christ the King Parish in Southaven, Miss., was recently cited for its easy accessibility for those with mobility concerns.  A low-sloped ramp makes the altar area wheelchair and walker-friendly.  The church was noted in an article about parishes that reach out to Catholics with disabilities that was published in the August St. Anthony Messenger.

Christ the King is one of several parishes ministered to by a pastoral team that includes Fr. Bob Tucker, Fr. Tim Gray, Fr. Ed Zemlik and Dn. Duy Nguyen.

Four parishes work together as one

For the past year Fr. Pat Lloyd has been back in central Wisconsin serving as pastor of a four-parish community northwest of Green Bay.  “As four parishes sharing one pastor and one common parish office, we are heading into a new experience of cooperation, sharing, and mutual help in promoting the Church’s mission in this central area of Wisconsin,” said Fr. Pat.

He invites you to learn more about the parishes of St. Anthony, Tigerton; St. Mary, Marion; Holy Family – St. William, Wittenberg, and St. Mary, Leopolis, at the Four Parish Catholic Family website.  Go to: www.flockof4.org
