A new provincial council!

Following Fr. Stephen Huffstetter’s election as provincial superior on Wednesday, June 5, members of the U.S. Province completed the election of their Provincial Council on June 6.

Members of the new council:

Fr. Ed Kilianski, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe parish, Houston

Fr. Byron Haaland, vice president of mission for Sacred Heart School of Theology, Hales Corners, Wis.

Fr. Jack Kurps, executive director of Sacred Heart Southern Missions in northern Mississippi.

Br. Duane Lemke, province director of formation and superior of the Dehon Formation Community in Chicago.

Fr. Christianus Hendrik, a member of the Lower Brule Pastoral Team

As noted previously, Fr. Steve is executive director of St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, S.D.

All but Fr. Hendrik served on the previous council. The current administration completes its service on July 31; the new administration will be installed on August 1.
