SCJ Memorial Day
In 2004 the General Administration established November 26 as “SCJ Memorial Day,” a time of remembrance for members of the Priests of the Sacred Heart who gave their lives as martyrs. In total, there are 49 SCJ martyrs, including 28 who were killed 50 years ago in Congo during the Simba rebellion. The names of our SCJ martyrs are posted here along with a link to an Adoration service for November 26.
Factors that predict commitment to the priesthood
What factors predict whether a man will stay committed to the priesthood? This has been Fr. Yulius Sunardi’s question for the past two years as he did his doctoral research. On November 19th he presented the results of his work to seminarians and faculty at Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology.
